Roof Rack build

My dad and i built this rack last year, so sorry if you guys have seen this already, im just trying to organize the build thread in order. Enjoy
If you wanna see the whole rack build in more detail check it out: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/191023-home-made-roof-rack-99-highlander.html

I built this rack for my surfboards... not cargo. My goal was to make a light weight simple rack that didn't need any extra drilling into the top of the runner
Its all aluminum, everything welded, machine rolled, etc. in my garage

Bumper build

This is also from last year so sorry if it sounds like a broken record, again just trying to organize the build thread.

After one of my friends backed into my front end, i found out it was gonna be cheaper to make a bumper then to buy one and have it shipped to Hawaii.
Here is a more detailed build thread: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/204818-99-hybrid-bumper-build.html

Bumper is all aluminum and extremly light, which is what I was going for.
Everything was welded and rolled by hand
Got the turn signals at a local truck/trailer shop

Damage (Also had to get a new fender, but thats not as exciting):IMG_0482.jpg
IMG_0483.jpg
Made these brackets so the bumper can be removed with a few bolts

That rack looks great, inspiration for my 2 gen rack I have planed. Would carry a kayak and or a bike so not much different needs.

Nice man!! My mother used to have a green SR5 sport and she sold it  That bumper looks awesome as well as the roof rack. I really need to learn to weld! Subbed

EDIT:

I used to live on Oahu for 5 years when I was a kid. Definitely moving back when I retire! I wanna open up a small breakfast/brunch restaurant and just spend the afternoons fishing and riding dirt bikes. Hawaii is heaven on earth.

We lived in Kapolei. When I move back I'm either going to live near the north shore of Oahu or on Maui

I lived on the windward side, waimanalo, kaneohe, and kailua. To me that was always a good mix of being "not so busy" and still had good access to all parts of the island without traffic. I never went into town unless it was an absolute must haha. Im currently trying to find an engineering job out there so I can move back!! Any connections?

Yeah I feel the same way about town haha. That sounds sick, unfortunately i am unaware of any connections for engineering, Im sure there are is demand for that on Oahu
