Gen's empty wallet build/picture thread

Which setting did you raise the front to? 2nd or 3rd perch? How do you like it so far?

I only raised it to the second perch, because for some reason that is the most extension the struts will go, which makes me think that they are not tundra struts after all. I had it on the second perch for a little bit, but since that is full extension they were very stiff and maxed out, so since then i put it back on the first perch and just threw a 1.5" spacer on top to bring the height back up. I am bummed out they wont extend any more but once I get money I plan on getting real tundra struts or something of that equivalence so I can eliminate the spacer. Overall so far on the lowest perch they ride much better and much less harsh, but again I dont even think they are true tundra struts

It's people like you that will make the rest of us never happy with our trucks cause they're just not as nice.

I guess some people would call that a role model, but apparently I'm just a negative person.

Anyway, nice rig!

If you have 5 settings then it's tundra shocks. That's if you have bilstein 5100

Haha, I really appreciate the compliment! Trust me I have plenty of role models on this forum

I know they are 5100 but I am pretty sure they dont have 5 settings, thanks for helping me clarify, I'll check them tomorrow.

Just hit 200k miles, so some celebration shots

Great looking truck! Did the 305's fit in there with out rubbing? Do you have a body lift?

Thanks, ya they barely fit, the front required a little grinding off the plastic in the rear of the wheel well but that is it, other then that they fit great... although i have yet to test full flex - Im sure the rear will rub a little. As of right now very minimal rubbing

Sweet Rig Kanaka!
Excellent shop too. Top class welder on duty.
Islands may be small, but run deep and way high.

Mahalos, really appreciate it!

Few days ago my battery light turned on and of course it was the day before I was finally supposed to go on some missions.

So got a new alternator and replaced it, much easier job then I expected. I should really get a capacitor for my sounds...

Got a couple days off with my friends and family so we went up to Mauna Kea (14,000 ft. elevation) and then the next day went down to the valleys.

Didn't know who had a build thread. Looking forward to keeping up with it and seeing what you else you do. The wheels and tires look awesome man, also very jealous you have the Hilux spoiler.

Nice looking rig....I miss Hawaii, have family in Lahaina.

Sweet ride! Looks like you've put in a ton of elbow grease into her. Thanks for sharing!

For the past few months my suspension has been making far too many knocking and squeaking noises. My upper ball joints have been shot for a while now especially with the angle from the lift. So I put in Total Chaos Uni-ball UCA's to eliminate the worry of upper bj's, also replaced the LBJ's and inner and outer tie rods, along with the driver side CV axle.

Had to cut the Driver UBJ off because it was extremely bent
