Getting Gasoline Odors out of my 'Runner

Sloshed a little gasoline in the 4Runner today while filling up the gas can for the mower. I have dried up the spilled gas (it spilled on a WeatherTch cargo mat), now I am fighting the odors. Any recommendations on getting the gas smell out?

I'm guessing you already tried febreeze and other deodorizers. Before you search for products (there are hundreds of deodorizers), try driving with all the windows down for a couple days. It may be as simple as that.

Air it out

I've had odors in vehicles before (luckily not my 4Runner). Airing it out works the best. It has to sit for a while with the windows down and the air freshener helps. Also, take the cargo mat to the carwash and soap the hell out of it.
