Picking my my new (to me) 2012 Silver TE w/ KDSS tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait!!! Only 28k miles and comes with the balance of the 8yr/125k Toyota Warranty.

I'm coming from a 2005 Tacoma Doublecab TRD.

Any recommendations on the first things to do with it once I get it? (Besides posting a pic on here of course...)

How much are you paying for it?
 
The first thing you should do is read the manual and get familiar with the transfer case function, the crawl control and multi-terrain select function.

Enjoy! I love mine.
 
Nice! Cant wait to get mine! Hopefully within the next month or two. Hard to find a good TE for the right price. Its insane the resale value of these. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?
 
First Things to do

After going through the manual two of my favorites are:

n-fab steps unless you need sliders
4 Bilsteins, front set to 0.85 or 1.75 - Levels and helps nose dive
Post a photo

Can`t find my photo, but you already know what a 4Runner looks like.

Congrats!!! How about taking a nice long drive and enjoying your new rig? I'm sure you'll think of one or two things you need to add along the way :cheers:

Sorry for the delay all. After picking up my new-to-me 2012 TE, I had to travel for a week due to work. I'm just now getting to post a pic.

Blessed to have bought my 4Runner from a guy here on the board. Got to meet him, his wife, and even run through a training session with his awesome labrador. (He trains hunting dogs) I love the vehicle I bought, but even more so, I'm glad to have made a genuine friend. We're already talking about getting our families together to go camping.

Yep. The previous owner put on the door guards to prevent from the doors getting bumped. They line up with the horizontal crease on the rear fender. I probably wouldn't have put them on myself if I had started from square one, but I kinda like them now. It sets my 4runner apart, looks pretty slick, and protects the doors. Plus the previous owner had the dealer color match them.

The picture is taken at an angle, so it is deceiving. That being said, I am 6'7". Sat in about 5 4runners to ensure that my head wouldn't hit the ceiling. And yes, i do fit in one with the sunroof...with about 1/2" to spare.

Height is in my legs.
 
I was thinking the same thing. but if you look close the 4runner is on a slight down hill from him, and someone is sitting below the waistline taking a pic upwards.

forgot to add to this thread since I posted in the other thread with this same pic,

dog is not impressed :)
