getting near 100k miles what to do

Okay guys getting near 100k lol which is just breaking her in.

So far I've done the differential fluid change twice and maybe the transmission fluid flushed once. What should I do now? full spark plug change? any belts to change? what other flushes should I do


I will finally do a full brake change rotors and pads. Can't believe they lasted to almost 100k :boink:

Mercedes, do you have a V6 or a V8? If you have a V6 check to see if your water pump is okay... I had a leaking water pump at 90k. It cost me about 350 parts and labor (not done at the stealership... otherwise it would have been 570 in Southern California)

if you have a V6 you should have changed your spark plugs at 90k (30k intervals) I changed mine around there...

at 100k your toyota is about to fall apart and therefore you should just give it to me and i will make sure you wont have to deal with any future problems..:naughty:

just kidding. but for sure spark plugs and power steering fluid and coolant flush.

Check engine and cabin filter, rotate tires, V8 or V6? If V8 your due for a WP and TB along with associated seals.

If its a V8, get that timing belt changed! Interference engine+broken timing belt=broken engine. 90K change interval

Physically they can last much longer. I know some have gone over 200k without issue.

Toyota actually initially rated them for 120k or 5 years in the 100 - whichever came first.

Its a preventative thing.

Would you bet your engine on it? how about just the heads if you got lucky? Thought not. I've seen them go 10 years from people that didn't know better, but I don't know of a sane person that would purposely do that.

$1000-ish w/ water pump.

90k service on my 100 was $2200
