Getting ready to buy a 95 - newbie here

1995 V6, auto, 4wd, 140,000 miles, every power option available including power sunroof (looks like whoever bought it new checked every box on the order form). Been very well taken care of, no leaks, not even a scratch anywhere on the very shiney black paint. Very clean brown interior with little to no wear visible. Runs like a dream, no strange noises. Used dealer is asking $7000. KBB says it's worth $8350. Only parts not right are a missing body moulding on the passenger side door (which dealer said he has already ordered a new one and will fix it), and the power antennae has been bent before, and will not go all the way back into the fender (but it does extend all the way). Everything else works good and looks to have very little wear on it. It does have some aftermarket wide alloy wheels, and similarly wide street tires. It also seems to have a lift-kit (sitting right next to an unmodified 99 model it appears to be a few inches higher). Does $7000 sound like a good deal? Is there anywhere else I need to look at? Im looking for a nice family vehicle to take on vacation rides with the ability to tow a boat. The 4wd part is just gravy for me . Those used car dealers sure can detail a motor! You could eat off of this one.

If the engine has been detailed it MAY be because they had a bit of a leak somewhere. Drive it (kinda hard) and see if any new oil appears.
My antena is totaly broken off and the radio still works fine so yours will be fine too I'm sure of that.
Other than that, it sounds like a peach! Buy it!

Just bought it today... One of the local credit unions was givin' out deals and I got one... 4.5% interest for 3 years. It feels like christmas. Bonus - the owners manual is completely filled out with record of oil changes all the way up to 120,000 miles (as well as tire changes etc.), and then several regular service/lube (including diff oil change, and a tranny flush) reciepts from 120,000 to the 134,000 miles it has on it So far everything seems almost better than great. I've not yet noticed any leaks. Those wide tires are 31 x 10.5 I think they are stock size (or were available as an option) but are new dunlop AT's. The wheels do appear to be aftermarket, but I've seen a few pics on here that match them - aluminum 15 inch deep dish with 6 holes in them. No lift kit that I can tell - the extra height compared to the '99 model was the tires, and there is a very slight sag in the rear suspension which I've noticed on here is normal on stock suspension for these 10 year old rigs. All smiles so far! It still rides and drives like a luxury SUV. I'll have a good oil change and chassis lube and probably a tune up just to make sure it stays that way.

Another thing... After getting me the Awsome unheard-of (around here anyway) 4.5% financing, the dealer handed me $40 cash to fill up the tank at the end of the deal! I'll go back to him for my next used car for sure!

I thought 7k sounded a little high but if it is in good shape good for you.

I just did the power antenna fix a couple weeks ago with pic's I will do a write up on here wed. If your intrested in fixing it.
