Gfluff build thread

With the Tacoma springs and 5100's at 2.5, how much lift did you gain in the front? Im thinking about going this route but can't decide what I'd need to run in the back to keep it from being nose high. Is it level with FJ springs and the 1.5 spacers?

Taco springs gave me an inch. With my little spacers up top, I'm close to 4 inches up front.

Assume you'd be 3.5 front (taco coils & 5100s at 2.5) and 2 rear (FJ coils & 1.5 spacers.) I'd guess you'd be level to nose low? V6 or V8? I'm level to nose high with the extra spacer, but V8.

Okay, thanks. Buddy of mine would give me a deal on his taco springs if I wanted them and I'm going to order 5100's soon. I have a v6 so i may get a little more front lift out of it too. Im just worried about it being too high in the front and looking odd.

You could always set the Bil to the 1.75 setting if it seems too high.

Spent a couple hours dremeling out the inside of the rear spacers today so I could run the bumpstops thru them. Hello, uptravel! :D
Ditch lights on too!

Alright thanks. Sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to further educate myself before I pull the trigger.

Giggity Giggity!!! SOS sliders showed up!
Kinda thinking of doing bedliner on 'em? Anyone else tried it?? I used it in the cab of my old prerunner toyota, it was excellent...but I used roll on, so it was nice and thick. Eddyrrt

Everything I have painted is done with bed liner spray. I get it at walmart by the oil and shit

Did some light wheeling today, mostly wet and light muddy stuff. Some big potholes though, and my alignment got knocked out of whack... Got back to the highway, and at about 30mph, the vsc trac, vsc off, and swervy car lights came on. Truck felt fine, except for the right pull and left pointing steering wheel. Shut the truck off, had pizza and beer, got back on the road and lights on again at about 30mph.
Just the traction control disliking the new alignment settings?

Monkeyed with the front end today, wheels are straight(er), steering wheel isn't way left, truck's not making unwelcome lane changes, AND ALL THE VSC LIGHTS ARE OFF!! :)
Self high five!

What Tacoma springs are you running? I have a set of 2011 TRD OR Springs/Shocks sitting in the barn right now. I thought I read that the Tacoma springs didn't lift but apparently not. I have a V8 Sport with XREAS. Looking to swap out and install Bilstein 5100s. I originally planned on FJ springs with the billies but if the Tacoma springs will do the same I'll go that route and save some cash. Nice rig too, just needs a spoiler :p

I forget exactly what taco they're from, but it was a newer (12 or 13?) doublecab, or so I was told... The springs alone gave 1inch of lift.
