Gfluff build thread

I am ready to see your rear tire carrier build!...:clap2:

No pressure! ;)
Supposed to rain here Wednesday, so it's honestly not looking great...but I've got some vacation days next week to get it started/done?

Bumper comes off way easy...
No build pics, left the phone in the sun, it needed recovery time.. Lol
Went and got 3/16 plate, mocked up and cut out a bunch of brackets, and that was about it. Oh, also drank a beer and had lunch with my pop...Put the bumper back on and that's it for today. Hoping to tack the brackets, test fit, and then weld 'em up tomorrow. Maybe do the cross piece too, and get the latch done.

What exactly is lining your fender flares? I really like it.

The 1/4 inch black edging? Or the mud?? Lol!
The edging was on it when I bought it , fender edges and door edges. Just held on with some type of sticky tape. It peels up fairly easy, but goes right back... I'd take it off, but I'm afraid of what scratches I'll find underneath. Also, I swear my paint is the easiest to scratch I've ever seen. The paint almost seems soft, so maybe the edging stays on...out of fear.

Both ;D No, I really like that edging for some reason. Maybe I'll get some.

That is way more progress than I have made

I'm bummed because I won't be able to touch it this week, but my days off this week will be spent at the Lucas Oil Off Road Races at Lake Elsinore, helping out at the Team Associated booth... Darn it! ;)

That's cool. I raced for about 10 years but just got a little burned out on it. I still do a bunch of work with JConcepts, as far as ads, package design, decals, etc.

Very cool! It's taken a back seat lately to my 4yr old and my 4Runner, but I still try to get to the track once a month or so...

Sounds very familiar. My racing took a back seat when our twins were born 6 years ago. When i sold all my gear it paid for most of my mods

Growing up is much less fun than it's made out to be...
I sold quads/gear/trailer and my Tundra, because we needed a back seat and I needed it to have some lift and BFGs, dammit!! ;)

Don't want to hijack the thread but here are a couple of mine. This was my last paint scheme when i was racing SCT 2WD, SCT 4WD and Stadium Truck.

Overall this was my main scheme i raced. It was also my favorite class until it died....Production Monster Truck. First two are brushless

Pre-brushless nitro
