5 weeks later, mine has finally arrived. I plan on doing some measuring tomorrow at work to see if I can fit it on my LE with longer rubber hangers or if I will need to have some welding done.

Removal of the old exhaust was a bit more challenging than I expected. I was hoping not to have to cut, but the bolts between the tailpipe and muffler were so densely rusted I had no choice. I borrowed a tailpipe cutter from Autozone, but I couldn't get all the way through, so had to sawzall the rest of the way. The forward two bolts were not rusted but were very difficult to get loose. Removal took me 2-3 hours with all my snags and getting a faceful of rust and metal shavings.

After removal, things went much smoother. Installation was a snap and took less than an hour. Since I have a Limited, I replaced the rearmost hanger bushing with a longer one from ebay but it is still a bit too short. I may have to trim a little plastic or work something else out so the tips hang a little lower.

No review on sound or performance yet, I am still at work until tomorrow morning. Picture below for your education and/or enjoyment.

Thanks for the info on how to get this to fit on the LIMITED MODEL. Good to know just a longer rubber extension will do it.

Just installed the dual exit on my 04 v6, anyone have any issues with install? Upon completion, cel and vsc lights came on, even shut off once. Any idea what I could have possibly done wrong? No issues at all before install.

*Update*
The sound has totally mellowed out after the first 300 or so miles. I love the exhaust and the tone it makes. It gives the T4R a very sporty sound. I am a happy customer. Here is a full side view.

Butt dyno says its a little quicker to accelerate and or find a gear. Now this may be the Gibson koolade talking, but I think it improved the throttle response slightly. With that said, that was not the primary objective. The primary objective for me was not having the exhaust creep into the back window. I am happy to say the side exit remedied the problem. The burlier sound and perceived quicker response was the cherry on top. :

The exhaust should not send any CEL. It may have been when you disconnected the battery. Did you re-run to see what the codes it threw out?

Mine did the same thing. I also added the URD Ypipe though too. I did not unhook the battery cable and drove around and got it. Went into a limp mode with those same lights. Used the code reader on it and said the banks were staying wide open. Went back under. Tightened everything up real good. Unhooked the battery and hooked it back up. And then drove around like normal. Been about 3 weeks now with no issues or lights. I think the disconnect resets the system to allow the computer to notice the changes. Call me a noob but I have done tons of exhaust in my life and never needed to do that. But did it on this and all good now.

I've sold a crap ton of these exhausts and they should throw no codes at all. But if you bumped an o2 sensor or one came loose that would do it... OR gas cap may not be tight.

We bought a Gibson exhaust from Jason in March of 2017. Love the subtle tone, there’s no drone and we can’t imagine driving without it.

We tried installing it at home but it wouldn’t fit perfectly. Ended up melting the black rear valence a little bit. No worries though, took it to an exhaust shop and they had to cut and weld it to make it fit right. Should have done that initially.

Any other pics from the rear? My 2010 has the same rear valance and I’m also worried about the look with anything else other than the rear exit exhaust.

About to pull the trigger on this and an intake combo. The main reason is going through mountain passes with 285's the runner really struggles and I'm looking at adding some extra power to make it to the mountains and back a little easier. Can anyone comment about their experiences with increased power gains whether it be butt dyno or actual proven gains?
