Gobi Ladder Install Experiences

A week after I installed my Gobi rack and ladder I noticed the bottom mounting plate on the ladder had a chip and they offered to either ship me touch up paint or a new plate.

my bottom mounting plate rusted out...

forget the dudes name from gobi but he took care of me and sent me a new one.:hello:

So although the service is long lead times... people do care there.

Did you ever get an answer OCblizzard? I have the Slimline II and curious as well.

No haven’t heard anything. The 4-6 month lead time is almost a deal breaker for me.

i have a stealth rack without ladder and tbh the ladder looks pretty useless.
nice looking for aesthetic but i dont see how it would ever be more useful for loading purposes than standing on your sliders/rear wheel.

seems to me that functionality wise it's mostly for if you have a RTT without a ladder or you want to actually get on top of the car

Istand on the side tire, or on the side sliders. However I have used this ladder probably 10+ times in the past year or 2, If I have to get up top to tie down or net down anything i’ll usually just climb up to strap stuff down. So I wouldn’t say its just cosmetic at all for me. If I was older or not sure footed the ladder would be useless and Most people probably shouldn’t be climbing up there, including me 10 years from now.
