Gobi Ladders

Look in SOcalTrail's build thread for the struts. I asked about them a month or so ago.

I searched for it so I mine as well repost it here.

Those with the Gobi Ladder, here is what you want:

Lift Supports

When you order, you must put in the comments section the following: "Convert to 10mm straight ends"

Part#49124 244LB Force 22.7" Extended 15.45" Collapsed

I also understand some people are running these with the Baja Rack too? I guess it just slightly hits when hatch is fully opened? I am thinking of getting one and have the Baja short rack

The Gobi ladders are strong and proven. Gobi has not had a single one break on a customer. I've had at least 250 lbs on my ladder multiple times and its held up with no issues.

Also, did someone say GB? $1399 shipped for a Stealth or Ranger with a free accessory is the current deal. :) Current lead time is 3 weeks. PM me for ordering info.

I'm having trouble finding a new thread on the ladders. I run a yakima aero bar rack system so I can carry fishing kayaks and a box. Any issues with the ladder and yakima systems to report? Concerned about clearance with the hatch open, but would love to be able to get up higher from the back when running straps for the yaks. Appreciate any direction if you know of a newer thread. Thanks!

Does anyone have a ladder and a ski rack setup? Would love to see pics and details

I don't have any photos with specifically skis on the rack but You can see the ski racks turned down here with the ladder. Not sure if its exactly how you want it.

Since this thread's been dredged up, it seems like a good place to ask this: has anyone put clearbra or something else on the paint behind the ladder? It seems like there's a good chance your shoes would end up scuffing up the paint - particularly on the lower rungs where they are closer to the truck.

I live in DFW, I have the Gobi ladder and Yakima Rail Grabber and haven't had any issue of clearance. But then I'm not carrying any yaks.

Just installed my k9 rack. Was wondering if anyone runs the gobi ladder (or any other ladders) with this? Doesn't seem to be much clearance with the rear open.

thank you! I think I'll give it a shot. It doesn't matter about clearing with the kayaks on. I can't open the hatch with them up there anyway. More about loading/unloading once they are off the roof.

Dumb question - but what do you guys use these Gobi racks for mostly? I typically load up on boards + bikes and the gear all between that but never really thought of a use case for these gobi racks.
