sorry for pissin a few of you folks off here

:hiding:

How are you doin' antman?

Slow night.

He's just looking for a plan for his new Gobi Rack pick up.
I would .......take my old rack off at home .

Get to the delivery place with a friend /tube of rtv/tools and do the install in the parking lot as it's not hard.

Cut the box up and throw in the dumpster and drive home with a big smile waving at the Canadien border guards.

@jca21.....How hard is it for you to cross over into the United States now that the security is tighter? Just a passport?

Off topic but funny Canada border story, not at the time of course.Summer before last we were back east on VC and my daughters wanted to go see Niagra Falls as they've never been and it's only a 3 hour drive from my sisters lake house in Northern Pa..

We go driving up there and not really thinking about it too much drive over to the Canadian side to see the falls better and do the boat ride touristy things. I've been to Canada a bunch of times and sure enough,as always before, the Canadian border guards don't even ask questions or ask for credentials and just wave you right thru.

Stayed overnight and the next day coming up to the border check point back into the states and in line , it dawned on me in one of those "oh sh*t" moments.:bash: My daughters being 12 and 14 at the time had no type of photo ID or any ID at all, for that matter, on them.Nada!

They had me park the truck , searched it, took me into a room where they checked me out and asked questions like why don't you have suitcases ,being all the way from Texas .Other female guards led my daughters off all scared and crying and interrogated them for almost 2 hrs until they could get a hold of their mother, my ex, on the phone before they let us thankfully come back over with just a warning.:trophy:

Went and got their passports as soon as we got back home.:trophy:
But the other day ,thinking about going to Costa Rica with the guys at work for a weekend noticed that mine expired in Dec. of last year.:nono:

harper,

i get hassled quite a bit. not sure if its cause i have a firearms licence or used to bring knives for my collection across the border but thats the way it goes. :bash:

The only tip I can offer any American's crossing the border into Canada...never and I mean NEVER answer "what is your reason for visiting Canada" with "Escaping the Draft" as you may just be unlucky like me and get a no sense of humor guard who somehow did not know we no longer have a draft. The only good news was the .12 cents in loose change they found while practically ripping the car apart.

Now, that's funny!

I am in Costa Rica right now. In the Northwest part. Pretty hot and dry here. Where were you intending to go? Now that it will take you about 6-8 more weeks to get a passport! I have only seen one 5th Gen here so far. First day leaving the Airport in Liberia. Silver, Ltd I think. No mods. But the roads around here.....one does need an SUV of some time, just to get to the store!
Pretty country though. People are wonderful. So is the beer!

ordered my stealth and ladder today from mark.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D

Congrats and thanks for the order once again. Now the hard part comes. The wait... I got some custom stuff done to mine so I've been waiting for about 4-5 weeks now.

i installed it today...

I have a TRDP and wondering if the ranger will still allow me to get in and out of garages. I don't plan on lifting my truck any more any time soon. The ranger looks really cool with the higher walls and will fit a spare. Does anyone have a pic of the 4runner with the ranger rack?

We went across to Canada from Niagara Falls several years ago with my then 3 year old daughter. Going TO Canada was fine, but coming BACK, we had the same issue…no ID or “papers” for her. They acted like they weren’t going to let us back in the US. I said “Fine. Do you want to keep her?” They didn’t think it was funny, but they let us back in.
