Hi All !
Just joined up today to get a handle on my 4Runner challenges.
Local dealers are marking up parts prices by huge margins to cover their dealership costs and I'm fed up with being asked to hand over hard cash for absolutely no reason. A good example is today's front struts (actually there are no struts but that's another point of discussion). Parts cost quoted at $437.40 per strut and another $291.76 to install each of the units. $1400 for a pair of shocks? Parts supplier ordered up the pair at $94.19 each. I still have to install them myself but I think the only problem I'm going to have is trying to work with the extra $1200 in my jeans. We have to get this silliness under control and I'm counting on you guys to get me through all my 4Runner issues....we also have a Rav4 with a leaking gas filler and I was quoted $650 to replace it. I ordered it up for $93 with free delivery....this is gotten beyond silly. Anyway, I'm happy to have found y'all and look forward to your collective wisdom.
