Time to drop some cash on a Tune-Up. I'm almost at 160,000 and get 16mpg all the time no matter what. This is purely a drivetrain tune-up. Steering Components/Bushing/Balljoints etc will come within the next couple months.

Looks good Connor. Gap the plugs. Also buy some CNC MAF cleaner and clean the MAF if you have not done so before. Being too lazy to check your build link, how about an air filter cleaning or replacement?

I will gap the plugs to .0043 or .043 whatever it is.

What gear oil do you suggest for the front and rear diffs, and the transfer case?

Redline is good stuff, no doubt about it. If you have deep pockets, it would be the way to go, at least for me. I am using the D4 in my auto. I don't know what is recommended in the 5spd, maybe MTL, or MT-90.

Amsoil is good stuff as well.

I'm Redline Mt-90 is what will be in my trans. My pockets aren't that deep though.

So Amsoil in the Diffs and Transfer Case. What weight? GL-4 or GL-5?

80w90 in the rear. Amsoil actually recommends 75w-110 severe gear if you do a good bit of off-roading. I cannot remember why exactly. You can always email them.

I like to use Chevron Delo 400 80w-90 in the rear diff.

75w-90 in the front diff and transfer case. Mobil 1 here for me.

I believe your referring to your Series 3

Just spent $65 at the Toyota dealer for a PCV Valve, Fuel Filter, and an Oil Filter.
Then I spent $120 at Autozone on Engine Oil, Tranfercase Fluid, Front and Rear diff fluid, and airfilter, and MAF cleaner.

They don't call it the stealership for nothing eh Connor? I have to ask how much the oil filter cost ya? I know the PCV valve lists for $6 and change. If you do not have new crush washers for the diff and transfer bolts, pay them another visit.

I take it you already have the Seafoam?

Ouch!! NAPA Echlin Part No. CRB29352 costs $3.87. I change it every 30k with my spark plugs. Works just fine.

NAPA AUTO PARTS

Each box uses two crush washers--drain and fill. You can reuse them once without any real problem, but at some point they get weak and break.

The rear diff fill plug number is on the list because it is real easy to round off, use a 24mm six-point socket, apply PB Blaster night before, and bang it a few times with a hammer before turning out. Anti-seize on the thread makes it easier the next time.

A tooth brush and some TB cleaner. This is the first time I've cleaned mine in 160,000 miles. Pretty easy to do.
