thank you all for the positive and negative comments. the reason why i traded the 4runner was i wanted a smaller car that gives me more mpg. no worries, i will take good of her. anyways if it snows here again, then i'll just drive my 06 HUMMER H2, it only has 16K on it. here's a pic and please no haters this time....i'm a Retired US Army anyways...

Man what I wouldn't do for a military spec HUMVEE... Never saw the central air tire system on a Hummer. Not a big fan of the H2 (Seem like they would be cramped inside.) But I like the way it looks!
Definitely smaller. Yes, they are more to repair, but as was pointed out earlier... luxury vehicle. That said, versus a V6 4runner, the price of premium gas completely offsets the better mpg. They end up virtually the same.
The best advice I could give you (or anyone with a 2006-2011 3-series), get ride of the piece of sh*t run-flats and put some good performance tires on there (I believe you said you had the sport pkg). The difference is amazing. A little softer, but as a daily driver, totally worth it. The run-flats aren't worth the extra cost, more so when nearly the only place to sell them is the BMW dealership.

The need of premium gas is pretty much a myth nowadays, the car really doesn't need it and it really won't affect the reliability of the vehicle. I've had audi and vw's that say they need 91 and have never used that and never experienced any pinging or other problems. You might get a little better performance with the better the premium.

14mpg to 18mpg is a big difference in my book nowadays. The mpg now is just not acceptable and i guess i could live with a v6 since i really want to keep a 4runner
I bought mine used so I don't no how the prevous owner treated the vehicle and there are a few options i'd like that I dont have.
06 styling, moonroof, steering wheel controls, bigger brakes, front/rear spoiler.

You're right on the money, most vehicles these days do not need Premium Gasoline. In fact if you put regular into a modern vehicle that recommends premium, the ECU will compensate for the fuel at a cost of slight performance.
I believe you see a more drastic difference with boosted engines than naturally aspirated.
Totally agree. There is a slight increase in performance. If you are purchasing a car for performance, it makes sense. If you are purchasing a newer car that recommends, but it won't necessarily change the ride, considering a lower grade is probably a good move.

on my 03 4Runner SE V6 2WD, i always gets 20 MPG the most..and now with the 06 BMW 325i, i am getting close to 30 MPG so i guess it's a big difference right? so eventhough the gas says Premium only, i can put 87 or 89 grade fuel?..my wife 09 MB C300 also says Premium grade only!!!
Hey, you're getting hit hard with reactions! I'll just say this: I've had my '08 Limited X-Reas for 3 months now. I love it. Before that, I had an '01 325 for almost 10 years. I loved it, too, and put very little money in it over our 127k miles together. You are going from one great vehicle to another -- congrats and enjoy!
