I got some 881s and bilstein HDs for my 97 and I've got a few questions. I've got someone experienced to assist me with installation but he requested I have springs compressed by shop. All I have are the 881s and the parts that came with the shocks. Based on the pics what do I need to purchase and bring to shop for compression? Any difference between left and right coils? These have no marking.

You'll certainly need a top plate..also looks like there's some bushings and washers involved

You should be able to see the schematics of the strut assembly. When I had my 881 put onto my existing nitro 9000's I just took the current strut assembly into the shop with the 881 and they disassembled the strut from my 99 talls and reassembled with the 881's, providing new strut top bolt retainer, cushion, etc... They charged me $75 bucks for the job, which I thought was a little high, but I guess with the parts and the fact that I didn't have to deal with it, it was worth it.
Secondly, there is no right/left discrepancy between the 881's like the factory coils, so you're going to want to get yourself a small spacer for the drivers side if your truck as the drivers side lean factory option. I just used a 1/4" poly spacer from wheelers, but they've got aluminum also. Here you go:
