Got my Scion 6CD HU... question

I bought a scion 6cd HU off of ebay and it came in the mail today. My question is... when I turn the HU upside down, I hear this rattling sound coming from inside... is this normal? Or did I get jacked?

That doesn't sound good at all. I would say to have it checked out but I wouldn't know how you would do that. You could try to install it and see what happens. It may be nothing. Or, you got stuck with a lemon.

i'm thinking its probably something with the changer. i was wondering if anybody who had the same radio noticed it.

Plugged it in and the rattling went away. I think it was the changer in "transport mode". Anyways, this radio is awesome... took me about 40min to install.


One more thing...

What is the plug from the original HU that I couldn't plug into the scion HU?

Compatability Issue with the 6CD HU

Okay. I got one the other day from eBay also and waiting for it to arrive...someday. This eBayer is definitely going to get a bad rating from me once I have received my Scion.

Anyway, my question is that I am getting a 4Runner Limited which comes with the 6CD Changer & 10 Speakers. Will the Scion 6CD HU work with this system?

Please tell me it will.

From what I hear, the Scion radio won't work with the JBL 10 Speaker system.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Scion HU does NOT work with the JBL system.

Thanks guys. I've decided to special order my 4Runner so that it will come with just the regular cd player in addition to exactly what I want as far as other options.
