Grease

I use redline CV-2 GREASE. My old harbor freight grease gun always leaked oil out inbetween uses. Once I finished the last bit of grease, I bought a nicer OTC branded grease gun that was made in USA. I had hoped it would not slowly ooze/seep oil out in between uses. NOPE. It does too. I've also tried to pull the plunger rod back so as to not apply the constant pressure against the grease inside the gun's body it still leaks.

How do professional technicians deal with this? I have a oil catch pan that is under my tool box that has the grease gun which is wrapped in paper towels and then a heavy duty plastic bag to try to contain the mess. I have a friend who is not a professional tech and he tells me he stores it in a home depot 5 gal bucket with the lid inbetween uses and just lets it leak all over inside the bucket.

Spicer recommends it's own grease for their ujoints
Since they manufacture ujoints, they should be reliable
Spicer Ultra Premium Synthetic Grease
The carrier is made up of calcium sulfonate which helps prevent washout
