Hello boy and girls. Proud Gen 2 4- Runner owner of 5 years that is going to need a bit of help with some repairs and mods. She is my daily driver for work and I need to keep her running like a champ, which is not the case as of late.
Current list of woes:
Coolant leak from/ near back of motor kinda sorta under plentum(tight)... well, this is the worst one. Hoping some long handled needle nose and and hose pullers will be all that is needed here.
Brakes- front rotors are waaaay done. Can anyone recommend upgrade for front brakes? I drag a small trailer for work and could use a little more life from the fronts. Rear- ABS light been on for a while now.
Front end shimmie, especially under braking. I figure this may be a combo of warped rotors and ball joints.
Pinion seal(I think) leaking.
Rear springs saggin' bad. Seems like all the Gen 2's in my neck of the woods look the same.
Broken E- brake. Gave up where it connects to parking brake handle under the dash.
My goal is to get all of these issue resolved in the near- future. Hopefully by my own two hands and probably with a lil help from the the neighbor's, too. Of course, I will be hitting ya'll up for your knowledge and experience.
