I'm a Tacoma owner looking for a 3rd gen T4r to build up and then sell my Tacoma to pay for the T4r build.
Any suggestions what to look for, avoid, etc.
my Tacoma is a Sport model 2wd with a Daystar 3 inch lift and BFG AT KOs. LoPro tonneau cover, Avid light bar and step rails, 2 LED fog lights and a few other small mods.

Any particular reason you want a 3rd gen?

Go for the 3rd gen they are great, I love mine. Look out for the normal issues all vehicles can have along with pink milkshake in the trans, blown head gaskets/overheating, and rust anything other common issues can be fixed. Things to looks for e locker, j shifter 4wd or push button true 4wd you dont want the part time push button 4wd imo if you plan to off road. Keep what you can like lights from your Tacoma and put them on you 4runner.
