I am so thinking of coming back. I traded my 2011 limited for a 2012 highlander after hubby (my better half) had his heart attack. He is doing fine I am happy to say. I have had the highlander for 4 almost 5 months. There is tons of room in it and the power it has in the smaller 6 cylinder is amazing. Two things I and hubby don't like. It lacks the look of the runner more family and grocery looking and its front seats are for the birds, no support, nothing.
Thinking of coming back and getting an SR5 with the leather pkg. Besides the 4Runner forum is so much better then the highlander one!!

Welcome back, in advance :bravo:

welcome back and glad to hear your spouse is better! just keep in mind the SR5 will not have the amenities the limited had. IE smart key, auto headlights, XREAS, etc etc..if those are not a huge deal to you, then the SR5 is the right move.

Good to 'see' you back snomobile, and good news that your husband is better.

I'm not curious enough to go look, but I have to wonder WTH there is to talk about on a Highlander forum? Soccer? Little League? Kid seats?

Sounds like your Toyota dealer is gonna like you. I have the SR5 as you describe, and it suits me. No need for TE, and the LE was just 'over the top' for me. It's amenities were things I neither wanted nor needed.

Keep us posted.

Glad your husband is doing well! I understand the forum thing. My wife has a new RAV4 limited she uses as she only puts about 5K miles a year on it. Anyway, I had some questions about it so I went on the RAV4 furum to read. Wow was it boring lol. Again, glad you are back and hubby is doing good.

My sister has a Highlander as well. It's very nice, but its just not my thing either. Plenty of room, power is good, but something is missing. It's too "I'm an SUV too" look to it. Good luck on the trade in. Unlike other car companies, Toyota don't depreciate much, but DO expect to take a licking at the dealership. Shop around as well!

We are going to start looking!!

:reddance: I contacted our local dealer and will take a look at the SR5 runners with leather and nav. Concerns about the difference between the limited and SR5 really dont matter to me at this point. Key or no key no biggie, the suspension? I have been driving a highlander for the past 4 months the SR5 might just be an improvement. Wont know until I drive one.
I love the 4runner and just need to have one again. The highlander served its purpose to a T. It is a great family type suv and we all see many on the road plus it IS a Toyota!
