It sounds like your on the right track to make everything work out. Just know the promoter dries quick. it says to do light coats every 2 to 3 minutes and only 10 or so minutes to add the color... or primer in your case.
I didn't use a primer but thats cause i wanted the translucent look, but i dont think thats a big deal if you use it, if anything it will probably just make it stronger! the promoter is clear they may have some color stuff but i was thinking you may need to use the primer too so you can get the color you want.
Good luck man im looking forward to seeing this! and just one bit of advise, although i think its been said already, just take your time, give it a day or two for everything to dry inside somewhere warm and you'll be golden!
