Grillcraft grille and HID Retrofit

After a week of waiting on the Grillcraft grilles and installing MH1 projectors in the TE headlights, I had a chance to finally install them over the weekend. I wanted to remove the front clip only once so I gathered everything and installed everything at once.

Took me a good part of Saturday but it was well worth it.
Did not get any progress pics...once you are in the zone, its hard to drop the tools to snap pics....so here are pics of the finished product.

I love the fit on the Grillcraft Grills. I don't have any experience with the others but I would use the Grillcraft stuff if I had to do it all over again.
The projector isn't too difficult. This is my 3rd retro so it went smoothly. The best advice with these things is to take your time.

Grillcraft Upper and Lower grille with Toyota FJ badge
OEM Trail Edition Headlights
Morimoto MH1 Projectors with XB35 5000K H1 bulbs, Apollo shrouds and Denso ballasts.

Update...I did google it and found it..that's really nice stuff, and the install instructions look really complete.

Thanks guys. The Grillcraft stuff is top notch...do not hesitate to do that mod.
As far as the projectors...I would never feel comfortable enough to charge anyone to perform this mod. It really isn't too bad to do, just take your time and utilize the resources we have on this forum.

Kudos man well done. Props for doing the retro yourself! I've been trying to work up the nerve to try it myself. Who can afford to pay a pro! I'm a perfectionist and wouldn't dream of cutting into my headlights like that with out absolute assurance I could do it perfect! One drip of epoxy or glue or bad cut however minute would drive me nuts. Even if nobody else could see it. Just knowing it was there would drive me nuts and send me to scrambling to parts store for new headlights! Lol

Yes the grill is precut and welded on a "border" shaped to the grill opening.

Thanks...I've had 3 people question/complement me about in less than the 2 weeks I've had them. As far as the FX-Rs... I've done the FX-Rs on my other vehicles and aside from the wider beam I don't notice a big difference. My wife drives the 4runner so she doesn't care. LOL.
