Has anone solved the ground loop problem when connecting to the aux port on the 4th gen 4 runner? I have tried to get power from the cig lighter, factory radio, directly from the batter and they all cause a ground loop and alt wine. Anyone have suggestions?

What are you installing into the aux port?
How are you grounding the added item?

I am not an elect wiz but the last time I had to deal with a ground loop it had everything to do with a proper gound.

Check out ground loop isolators as a last resort to a better ground.

Sirius starmate replay. I tried using the ground on the cig lighter, radio ground and battery ground and to the chassy. Nothing has worked.

I bought a ground loop isolator from Radio Shackles and it took most of the whine from my Pie adapter. I placed it between the radio and the pie adapter.

Check that...... I placed it between the PIE adapter and my Sirius radio or whatever accessory you are adding on.

Is your ground wire the same size as your power wire? Make sure your chassis ground is clean of any paint. The Radio Shack ground loop isolators work OK, but you should be able to get rid of it without it.
