Hi all, I'm wiring up a dual battery system and have a question on grounding. The factory battery appears to be grounded to the body, the frame, and the block. I can't see the exact location on the block hut I'm assuming it's there cause every vehicle I've worked on does that.
My question is when grounding my second battery, short of running a whole lot of cable to ground it back to the starting battery, I figure I'll replicate the factory side and ground to the body, frame, l and block. There is a convenient location on the block, currently used to support the engine oil dip stick. Does anyone see any problem with grounding to this with a ring terminal? I don't see why it would matter but wanted to ask. Thanks!
