Group Buy @ Console Vault

OK guys, it is great to see that there are so many people on board for a second group buy with CV. Since I have not heard back from Jenna (from CV) as she had promised, I decided a few days was enough time to "run our offer by the boss" and called her today. She said that the whole original group buy was her fault and that they would do nothing further than the $15 discount as stated.

I don't think there's much more I need to say, or really that can be said. I did the best I could for us, and I guess it's the $15 off. :redbrick:

At this point I don't really approve of their service whatsoever and will be quick to point out (what I'm sure is a glitch) that you can also save an additional $10 by stacking coupon codes. I'll sleep just fine tonight with them loosing out on an additional ten bucks. Use the word "VAULT" and then when the page refreshes, use "4RUNNER". Like magic, it takes $25 off instead of "the best we can do is $15". :hello:

No sweat, thanks for the work anyway. I just ordered mine with the cobo lock online and used both those coupon codes. Final price was $244 w/ free shipping. If anyone figures out a better solution to the washers, let us know.

Thanks for the try, ThirdToy. I would certainly like a vault, or safe, for my 4Runner like that but I will not deal with that company at all. They could have done so much for so little and regained some dignity in the process. Actually, Randy, I would expect more from the guy selling vegetables on the roadside than this company in Las Vegas.

Those of you lashing out against this business are really overreacting. They're not required to sell you products at the price you demand. If you don't want to buy their product, just buy something else or take your business elsewhere.

The amount of effort being put into bad mouthing them is not even remotely proportional to the "damage" you believe they caused you.

You are absolutely correct! They are not required to sell us anything at a price we specify. I don't think anybody would debate that point.

What's frustrating is when they OFFER a product at a particular price point and for a specified time frame then don't follow through with it. This is the issue I have. I prefer to deal with companies that do what they say they are going to do, it's that simple. I would love for them to come on and give an explanation as to what went wrong because as of know they just look like a company that won't stand behind their word

Thank you

For the description.

go out to your 4runner and take everything out of your console. at the bottom is a piece of felt/fabric. underneath that are two bolts. to install the CV you remove these two bolts, place the vault in your console, open the lid and screw in the vault with the two longer ones provided. you will need an additional 2-3 washers than are provided to take up all the slack. takes about 5 min. super super easy.

Here is the initial GB offer below. It says that the GB would go until May 31 and there was NOTHING stated about ending the offer early until the excrement hit the overhead appliance somewhere and they realized that they didnt want to do it anymore. At that point posts were edited and the rules were changed

Ok guys, I just got off the phone with Jenna at console vault and they are up for a group buy. Jenna told me that if we can get five buyers on the Console safe for our 4runners it would be $213.50. Jenna says that if we could get 10 buyers the cost would be $198.50. All the purchasing would be through console vault and this offer would be valid with five but ten would be better. We have till May 31 to get this going. Let me know who is in. Add yourself if your in.

Oh and it would be free shipping. Thanks.

1) windy city.

As I have stated repeatedly, this is not a financial issue for me, the cost of the product is fair even at retail. My issue is a matter of principle, if you tell somebody that you're going to do something then do it! Its that simple. Dont agree to terms for something then back out. I would have the same issue with any person or business that did this.

I would absolutely love to hear somebody from Console Vault come on and explain what happened. Windy City said that he relayed the info and there was nothing lost in communication so if we take this as fact then Console Vault just decided that they didnt want to stand behind their word.

As for the welfare check statement. Thats humerous. I can assure you that at this point I would not take a Console Vault if it were given to me as a gift. I own my own business and I've made deals in the past that did not benefit me and I knew pretty darn quick that I had screwed up but not one time have I ever not fufilled an obligation I made. I just chalk it up to costly education and I know not to make the same mistake

Fire away...

Give them a call and demand an explanation.

Give them a call and demand an explanation.

If they dont want to offer an explanation I'm not going to waste my time trying to get one from them. I would not do business with them so it would be a waste of my time

Mods should just delete this entire goat rope IMO.

I might well have gone for this at full price and thought nothing of it. Now even knowing that there's a cheaper way than the current $15 discount I will not deal with them. The up side of group buys is the cheap targeted advertising. The down side is that if you screw it up the exact same potential customers are there watching you breaking your word.

Oh ok because u keep on posting the same thing over and over again, wanting CV to come to this forum and provide an explanation. I just thought the easiest way to get what you want is to take the initiative and give them a call.

OK - I've read this thread and you guys can argue back and forth all day about who is right and who is wrong, but at the end of the day it's their business and they can do whatever they want. if you don't want to do business with them, don't buy their product. no more discussions on good business practices etc. I want this thread to remain as a future reference for people so please keep it clean and on track. thanks.
