RiDE, would you mind sharing your experience with wind noise and the SR40 setup you have? How about with the sunroof open? Is your mount custom Gobi or did you use the standard rigid mounts?

Sorry for all the questions. I LOVE the look you achieved. I'm just hoping for something that's easy to live with!

I don't mean to answer for Mark, the answer to the SR40 mount question is that Gobi implemented a custom design for it.

Wind noise is definitely noticeable with the sunroof open. When the sunroof is closed you can't hear a thing. My side window deflectors create more wind noise then the entire Gobi/Rigid setup. The wind noise of the rack and Rigid are not annoying at all.

My Gobi Stealth is custom. I had Gobi add 1 set of tabs for the SR40 bar to mount to and had them take out the vertical bars on the front of the rack to achieve the look and fit I was after.

My rack showed up yesterday. It took a week and a half to ship.

I have to call back and find out when my sunroof insert is shipping, it was back ordered and should have shipped FedEx last week according to gobi.

Rack looks really good, I will install it this weekend!

Not to step on RiDE's toes or anything, but in the shipping stage it was much easier just to call gobi. Sandra answered the phone each time I have called, she knew exactly who I was and was able to give me immediate info or updates.

When the rack didnt show up when it was supposed to, I called her. Turned out they had one digit wrong on my phone number. She called the shipper, a nice guy called me ten minutes later and told me the rack was on a truck getting delivered that day, he asked me when a good time was to deliver. He had his driver call me an hour before delivery and the driver was super accommodating.

Got the rack installed tonight, took me 2 hours by myself.

Much of that time was trying to figure out how to adjust the rack because it was not built true. It was a 1/4" out from corner to corner, in the vertical axis. It made adjusting the front feet a bear.

Overall, rack is really well made and stout. It is also really well packaged and has very good instructions.

I will try to get pics tomorrow.

Talked to sandra Friday. Should be shipping out this week. Then again I was told two weeks ago that it would be shipped out last Monday.

same here, i was told that it was supposed to have shipped out on last monday as well as the monday before that.

hopefully i get it soon because loading stuff onto the rack without a ladder is a real pain and also sketchy.

How long have you guys been waiting for the ladder? I just ordered a Stealth and ladder thru Ride and was told 4 weeks so just curious if that is realistic.

i ordered my rack and ladder through RiDE on april 16th.


it has now been 84 days since i have placed my order and my order is still incomplete. I have my rack and HD struts which i received around june 12th.

i am still waiting for my ladder.

So many choices for lights listed here I really like the look of the 40" rigid but will probably go with 4 lights similar to Limamike so they can be aimed out to the sides.

What has been the most common for the rear (didn't read the whole thread)? Was thinking 6" SR's or maybe a couple SRM's :shrug:

i hope you get all your stuff sooner than i get mine.

Before I installed mine, I just rolled down the rear window and used that. Worked pretty well, just got sick of cleaning up the mess it created.

i just wanna get what i paid for bud. gave up trying to get it in a timely fashion a long while ago. gobi makes a great product but is slow to produce.

sandra has been great though customer service wise.

i actually just carry a small folding ladder with me in the back for loading stuff on the roof.

it'll have to suffice until i get my ladder on.
