GROUP EVENT- Camping at The Cove- 10/13-10/14

I was just out there a few weeks ago at the range. There are lots of people, some of which may have been drinking. It is best to be armed at the range to ensure your safety. BRING GUNS. There is no RSO... so you will find that it is the best place to find dumb **** happening on a firing line.
Also, bring pumpkins to shoot.

I was poking around tonight looking to see what else I had that we might need for the weekend and I came across a couple things.
First up: Horseshoes, 2 sets!:thumb3:
Though one set is missing a stake its np I'll pick up another stake. Maybe we could have a friendly tournament on Saturday afternoon/evening. I'm thinking we'll need a prize for the champs, any suggestions?
Also came across my old softball stuff:
I can't play but would be happy to be the umpire :biggrin2: Bring your glove if you wanna get a came going! Anyone with bats/balls bring them too.
Cribbage board:
The old camping standby! Atleast it was in my younger days:boink: Got a couple decks of new cards already packed too! Cribbage tourney?
And the last thing I came across:
I have two(2) of these canopieshttp://www.kingcanopy.com/content/10x20universal8leg.asp without sidewalls. If you guys, especially Ducmonsta or Antman, think we need one or both I'll bring them along. I'm thinking one would be good for the Saturday evening cookout!
I say one because they're a tad heavy but if we need both I'd be happy to pack them

I Agree!! This will definitely have to be one of the areas where we will showcase our class and maturity!! Booze and screwing off have no place on the gun range! That is how people get killed!

I, for one, would rather eat lint than play softball. :lmao:Maybe others would join in, but i'll just go fish if you guys do that.
Horseshoes are fun (feel sorry for my partner though). I get better the more I drink but I still suck.
Never heard of cribbage. I play poker though! I think I packed cards too...

Since I will be bringing a trailer, I'll have two canopies already. No need to travel heavy, Qjake.
We will also have a 'group' mod going on. I will be bringing TitanPats new GOBI!

If anyone can think of any specialty tools or unique hardware for the Gobi install...please let me know now, as I'll be traveling light as possible.

What kind of fishing is there?..trout?..bass? Should I worry about a licence on private property?

I prefer dryer lint.
Fish: Bass, Walleye, Pike, Crappie and they list "exceptional" Yellow Perch. Ever eat Yellow Perch? They are awesome!
No license required.
I was talking to the owner in the camp office back in August and he showed me a picture of a 10+lb bass that a little kid "caught". Apparantly, the Bass was chasing baitfish and jumped out of the water under the pier next to the beach. The impact knocked him silly and he was swimming in circles before the kid picked him up for some pictures. Saw the pic myself or I wouldn''t believe it.
They let him loose shortly afterward.
i'm gonna actually be in philly this weekend

cool..I'll pack an ultralight setup...just to make it more interesting..say 4lb test?
Here in the NE we icefish a lot..so I'd always pack some breading, stove, and oil. We'd have "po' mans shrimp" right on the ice with those yellow perch and bluegills. I'd take yellow perch or walleye anyday over tilapia or haddock

8mm, 10mm, 12mm sockets and wrenches
3 or 4mm, and 5mm allen
2 or 3 T4R members.

I didn't use any either. Proper installation usually replaces silicone.
The only problems I've heard of are from Baja racks. I don't believe they use the style of gaskets that GOBI does.
