i dont know about the state you live in, but i know some states its an automatic felony to shoot from a vehicle(even in self defense). they law was made to crack down on gangs and drive by shootings ect. case an point, there was a guy who was deployed with us over in iraq a couple of years ago, who turned 21 while over there, and when he was home on leave he bought him self a hand gun, was on his way to a range or somewhere he could go use it. he had is CWP and ammo with him. anyhow there was some sort of road rage incident dont know all the details but from my understanding this solider did everything by the book, he tried to leave, walked away back to his car and drove off... the guy fallowed him to the next light where he got out and smashed the soliders drivers side mirror with a tire iron or wrench and the solider told the guy "i have a gun, stop or i will shot you" (witness heard and verified this, as well as testified to this) anyhow this other guy smashed out his window and thats when the solider shot and killed the guy... now is i serving a 5yr minimum sentence for a felony shooting from a vehicle or some BS like that. again the law was designed to crack down on gang violence but yeah didnt work like that in this case... this solider is(was) a good solider, now he has been discharged because of a bad call(not by him, but rather some hot-shot DA who wanted to make a point and ruined someones carrier). this happend in new mexico like two or three years ago.
