Gysa with daystar 2.5/1.5

I had my GYSA 255/75/17 put on a couple of weeks ago and loved them. Last week I installed the daystar 2.5/1.5 topout spacer lift and immediately the next morning got an alignment. Since then I can not control the vehicle. I seems floating and sometimes goes to the right and sometimes goes to the left. The steering wheel is not perfectly straight but I don't know that that matters. I constantly have to adjust to keep straight in the lane. And highway speeds with wind is ridiculous. So I am ruling out the tires since I had them for a couple weeks with no issues. But is this expected with the lift or is the alignment wrong. I can post the specs for the alignment if that would help. should I have more negative camber or anything like that to help. It is an 06 with 64,000. I was readind the threads with the swaybar bushing upgrade but being that this happened right after the lift I don't think that is the problem. Thanks in advance. Would the differential drop help anything like this or longer shocks?

Wow, sure sounds like something is not right...I would go straight back to the place that put on the spacers. Make sure the did the alignment AFTER they installed the spacers. Other than that sounds like something's just not bolted down tight or lined up right. Be careful and have it checked soon. I have 112k miles on my stock 05 V8 and it's tight as a new one. Something out of whack for sure, sounds related to the spacer.

It was actually my friend at his dealership that put the spacers on so I was right there helping and making sure everything was right. (it was a ford dealership though :wow:) I did the alignment at a different shop the next morning. I am going to take it back to the alignment shop tonight to double check everything. it was sears auto.

1st confirm the tire pressure is 34-37psi. If they inflated them to 44psi it'll wander a bit. 2nd, alignments: An alignment can be "within spec" but not yield a good driving experience. The specs allow for a range of caster, camber and toe-in. A lack of positive, fairly equal (R&L sides) caster, lack of slight toe-in and positive camber can all cause wandering and instability. The non-centered steering wheel is just sloppy work on the part of the tech.

Take it back, tell them to try again and you want to see the specs and the "after" report. You want a little toe-in, positive caster and a slight negative camber.

Good luck!

I took it back last night and the after measurments are camber r .3 L .4, Caster 2.9 both sides and toe is R .03 and L .04 Total Toe is .07 When you say slight toe in is that positive or negative? Thanks for your help
