HA HA probably a stupid ?

OK so the cigarette lighter in my 02 4Runner doesn't work. Obviously the first thing I'd do is to check the fuse.

That being said, I cannot seem to find a specific fuse for the cigarette lighter. I've checked the fuse block inside the truck and inside the engine compartment.

I'm not a smoker but I have one of those Ipod transmitters that allows the Ipod to play through the radio. It's kind of bulky. If I plug it into one of the 2 ports at the bottom of the console it's harder to reach. The cig lighter position is perfect.

I feel like a dope because I totally rebuilt the 400 in my 68 Firebird and can't figure out my cig lighter.

It should say CIG. If this don't work, there is an alloy wire right behind the cigarette lighter with a 8 mm bolt. That can blow too.

I'm pretty sure that fuse is in the box under the steering wheel. Mine blew a few months ago but it turned off the radio as well. If your radio is still on then I'd guess its a cut wire or something inside the cig lighter itself.

There's a fusible link on the round housing it'self. I bought a cheap 9 or 10 dolalr radio shack one, fused and wired right to stock location and it's been fine.
