You can delete your own threads. Just go to the thread and hit ESC on your keyboard before the page gets a chance to fully load. Then do Thread Tools > Delete Thread.

I am a moderator, but have been a little busy with my wife's cancer treatments and surgeries. I just get to check in from time to time.

I know how consuming it can be. Both of my parents are in the hospital and not doing well. Prayers going out to your wife and family!

No disrespect intended, but maybe you should consider temporarily handing off your mod responsibilities to tend to your family (which is way more important). We need active moderators rather than part timers as disruptive behavior never seems to sleep around here.

As for deleting any of the threads that have been hacked, it's impossible for a normal user to do so as the page immediately redirects to the hacked page. The over landing thread has been redirected for quite some time now with whoever posted last.

I appreciate your concern. in the 15 years I have been doing it I have had other things that would occupy my time and the other moderators with cover for me. Even with the full team there is a lot of ground to cover.

That's not true. As I explained in post #5, if you stop the page from fully loading, the OP would have access to the Thread Tools menu.

Alternatively, since it's presumably the last post in the thread that causes it to be redirected, just add the name of the person who posted last to your Ignore List and their redirect script won't load in the first place.

In this case, the OP clearly doesn't care as both that & this thread still exist.
