Had the 4Runner tinted, some pics of it

the bottom ones look great, the top one though makes the fronts look a shade darker?? is it just me? maybe im just being picky..and thats whats keeping me from getting mine done.

On that note, I recommend lightly tinting the rear windows, since they are only colored glass. As of now, they offer no UV protection, or any of the added benefits of tint.
Yea, it looks like it in the pic but trust me, in person it looks like a 100% match. On the inside you CAN notice a little difference looking out. The guy doing it pointed this out when he got one wondow done, the difference looking out. No big deal to me, he said all rear windows will run me $200. I may get the rears done in 45% to darken it up a bit. As it is now no matter how hard I look it looks like a 100% match even though its different shades.

as long as youre happy with it...then they did a good job. it looks so close. its hard to tell the diff unless starring at it.
Its direct, low, evening sunlight so thats as clear a shot as you will get at the tint. Before I took the pic I stared at it and its dead on match. The picture plays a trick for sure. Inside you notice the difference looking out but outside I could not tell at any angle I looked. Thats about as close as you can get. The stock glass has almost a bluish tint and putting 45% over it would make it look the best. Havent made up my mind. Considering its not the same tint Im very happy with how well it matched.

Looks good. The front and back look like a match.
I would not think many cars have tint up there? A must in sunny FL. I got mine tinted down the week I got it. Just got darkest that was legal. The back is way darker than the front - can't even see in.
Tint is a funny thing, depending on the light it could look clear or super dark? It always looks different. At night or in the rain my tint looks limo.

wow, what percent is that? Mine looks dark in this picture but it's only matched to factory rear windows. I wanted limo all the way around, but cops around here love to ticket for really dark tint :bash:

Ah, SoCal. I've already gotten 2 tickets for mine, so it just depends what the tint is worth to you. In that picture I had limo over 20%. I now have just limo on the front. The back windows are all around double limo still though. It is SO comfortable to drive on a sunny day.

so you just "fixed it" then put it on again hahaha? I haven't gotten any tickets for mine yet, but i bet driving around with double limo is really nice...hmm decisions hahaha

The second one I wasn't able to do that with. I had to remove it, drive down to the station, and have it signed off. Then I went back over and had a layer of Limo put right back on. Only the fronts are illegal, you can go as dark as you please in the back, so I only had to fix the 2 fronts. That 20 minutes they were clear was the ugliest time of my trucks life since it was stock. :awais:
