Haddix's build thread

Those bumpers look amazing. Not to sure on those rear hoops, but i'm sure they'd grow on me if I had them.

So besides having a very clean looking late-model 3rd gen, you have gears, dual lockers, a sick lift, 35s on sweet wheels, snorkel, winch, full skids, sliders, and now the new custom bumpers along with all the other little things. I must say, everything on your truck is done the right way and with great taste. It's officially my favorite on the site now! You need to be T4R of the month!

Thanks. Ill have to go out tomorrow and take some pics of the front. Ill be sure to post up. As far as price I cant give a very good estimate beause I supplied all the steel.

Thanks. Yeah the hoops are for side protection. I really love the rear. Probably my favorite of the 2. Within the next little bit im going to be ordering some lf 240's and probably a synthetic line for the m8000.

Damn man thanks for that compliment. I love this thing and probably spoil it to much lol. I never intended it to be built like this. My main reason of getting the runner was for some gas mileage lol. I wanted to build it right and not half ass it. The cosmetic's are nothing, the gears and lockers were the huge thing but like I said I didn't want to half ass the build. Especially since its my DD. I really appreciate the comments glad you like it and t4rotm wouldnt be bad. Ive never won it before. :cool:

Looks Awesome. How about showing some shots of the finished front bumper? The pictures above seem to show only the rear.
 
Another update!

Well as I type this im back at thatcher fabrication getting my front fenders tubbed! The tires dont really rub now but Id like to crank the coilovers down some more so im just going ahead and tubbing the fenders. Pics will follow!
 
Where did you get your bumpers made? They look top notch! Any idea how far away from louisville they are? I may have to take my 80 down there and get some ideas going...And I have to ask, whats next after the winch and lights get installed?

Thatcher fabrication made them. There in winchester KY. There about an hour and a half away from louisville. Give Shawn a ring real cool guy. There work is def top notch. Honestly idk what to do next. Ive thought about taking out the carpet and putting in vinyl like the fj's but like I said not sure. Ideas?
 
Oh yeah, I forgot you had that ARB roof rack. Where's it at? I'm not a fan of front lights on a roof rack either because they don't function worth a crap and glare against the hood. But I like the idea of putting floods on the corners of the rack for camping and stuff.

I kept it on for like a week and took it off. Its been sitting in the garage ever since lol. Yeah I dont camp much so its pretty pointless. I think they look out of place and kinda tacky but thats me. Alot of people like lights on the rack so to each their own.
 
Successful day!

Well I think today was very successful. Got thatcher fab to tub my fenders and they turned out great. I also got them to cut down and install my roll bar tonight! So overall im pretty happy. I know useless w/o pics but they will be posted tomorrow. Just wanted to update. :D:D
