Ham Radio in 5th gen 4Runner - Help!

I realize this is an old thread but..........
Does anyone know if the mount shown or one like it, could be attached to the roof lip in the center at the top of the rear door? If so, would the door open fully.

I don't think it would work. There is a mount that does not have the "tab" in the middle of the mount in the first picture. Problem would be the back and the mounting. Think our plastic spoilers go all the way and would make the mounting angle weird. Plus opening the tail gate will be an issue too as well.

If you want to go in the middle you could probably DIY something in the shark fin. Or if you have a aftermarket rack you could clamp it on to the rear bar. Just get creative.
