-Rola Rack





Finally found a replacement 3rd gen for my beloved Hank, who was totaled on April 28th (I'll talk about that in a bit). But for now:

Here is the replacement!

2002 SR5 in Thundercloud Metallic with 178,xxx. 2 owner truck, with excellent maintenance history/records. Guy was a Toyota tech, and it was his wife's vehicle. Bone stock and a family vehicle for most of it's life. Timing belt done 3,000 miles ago. Runs and drives like brand new!



This was original Hank. 2000 Limited with 186,xxx when he died. I was crossing an intersection and a guy ran a red light doing about 45 mph, hit me in the rear drivers tire, spun me around and it rolled. My dad was with me and we walked away without a scratch. RIP Hank.

Everything will be swapped over from the old 4runner, to the new one eventually. Going to buy different wheels and swap everything else over.

The new one is much cleaner. I'd still rather have the old one back though, even with how rusty it was. This one just doesn't feel like "my" 4Runner yet. It will though

Successful second day of ownership. Factory lift kit installed (removed running boards) and Rola rack installed from original Hank.

Haven't updated this in a while, but Hank 2.0 is finally starting to get somewhere.

Rides like a dream. Very happy with my choice on the lift kit.

















Also, I said goodbye to OG Hank last Sunday. New owner came to buy it. It hasn't started since April when it was rolled. New owner wanted to see what was happening when trying to start it, and it started right up and drove itself onto the trailer. Broke my heart. Godspeed Hank. You will never be forgotten.





Then the wife and I decided after spending all this money, that it would be a great time to buy a house lol. Happy Hank 2.0 in front of the new house! It's been a very exciting week!

Good eye. No, it isn't mine. It's my friends whose shop we were using for the lift install. It's actually a fairlady z from Japan. It was his fathers when he was stationed in Japan back in the day, and he brought it back with him. It's sat in California up until a couple years ago, when my friend brought it to Kentucky.

Unfortunately, it's in VERY rough shape body wise. Really, really bad rust. He plans to restore it one day, but it will be a long process. Still a really cool car to see in person though.

Yes so far I'm very impressed with the Fox shocks. Happy with the whole lift. Very surprised with how well it rides. Huge upgrade from the Rough Country lift I had on the old 4runner.
