Ok, I've finally made the move from my one owner 1997 to a new 2011....picked it up yesterday.....very happy with it, black SR5 4x4, tan leather, sunroof.....perhaps I'll keep this one 15 years like I did my 97.....I am going to miss seeing my 97 go....it has been such a great 4Runner....very dependable, very reliable......over the 15 years, aside from gen maint, I only had to put a starter in it back in 2010.....that's the only thing I had to do to repair/fix anything on it.....hopefully this 2011 is the same.....

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but its just black with tan leather, 4x4.....

Thanks, it was just coincidence I picked it up last night, wasn't supposed to get it until this Saturday but the planets must have been aligned properly.....

My wife has been telling me this valentines day gift is good for the next 7 years.....boy, I suppose if I get her a new car, we're even.....?

Oh right! No matter what you do (right) on any given V-Day, the following year is a do-over. The reverse is true if you do wrong.

I love it...! It's night and day difference from the 97, even though I loved the 97, this one, hands down, is much more refined....you figure, 14 year difference....the ride, the look, the spacious interior....such a newer vehicle with modern day amenities...ipod connection, nice sounding factory stereo, nice, new, heated tan leather seats.....the windows are not nearly as dark as what they were on my 97, they were extra tinted on the 97....my kids rode in the new one during the day time and commented they could see out much better in this one....doh....oh yeah and more power.....it sure has the get up and go....what 183hp in the 97 and 260hp or so in the 11....a little bump....

Now, I bought it Tuesday night, I usually make a trip in to my work place once a month or so, took it to work today, driving on the highway and wham.....a rock kicked up and hit the windshield.....big chip with the ends starting to split off in opposite directions....less than 48 hours since I bought it and I have to have the windshield repair guy out....fortunately, my AAA insurance person informed me that they'll cover the repair cost to have if fixed....now, if I have to have the windshield replaced, I have to pay the deductible.....hopefully the fix works....

Polish the tailpipe....I like that....I'll ask my wife to do that for me.... :boink:

^I hear you on the rock chips. Big part of the reason I chose to buy mine in the spring.

I've gotten 2 paint chips in my hood already though!!

Awesome man, I also had a 97 then a 2001, then 2005, then 2006 (due to 2005 total) now 2010... I've been thru 3rd, 4th and now 5th. I can definitely see the improvements in each generation, love these trucks.

Now, fix your signature. :)

Fixed....even fixed my avatar.....

I came real close to buying a 2007 sport 4wd but he traded it before I could make it down to see it.....glad I waited for the 2011....
