Hard Knock From Wheel? Help!

So sometimes when I begin moving forward from reverse or neutral there is a hard chronic bang that progressively gets harder and faster as I speed up until I hit about 10 mph then it stops. It sounds like it is mostly coming from the passenger wheel side so I took the tire off to see if I could see any problems, but I can't see any. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? I took pictures but I don't know how much the will help...

I had a similar noise. A loud bang that increased with speed. Turned out to be the ebrake not releasing properly. It was hard to pinpoint if it was front or rear while driving. Occured when it was very cold. Activating and releasing the ebrake usually made it go away. Eventually it stopped. But the ebrake didnt hold well anymore. The drum had been grooved out. This was on my 4th gen so regular braking wasnt effected.

Have you tried rotating the wheel by hand and track it down ?

This could also be coming from your U-joints. I know you said it's coming from the front, but if your in the drivers seat when you hear it, it could just as easily be coming from the rear.

Crawl underneath and rotate your driveshaft back and forth. Mine was making a similar noise a couple of weeks ago, and this was my problem.

Thanks for the input. I looked at my Hayne's manual and I'm thinking it is my drive train now. Possibly the u-joints. I hope it's just loose bolts though.
