That's most probably the route we will be going. However, keep in mind, if I receive this tent in two weeks, review it and we're all a go, I would need payment prior to placing the order. I don't want to get stuck with thousands of dollars of tents. Hope you understand.
 
OP UPDATED: The last picture is the sample I am attempting to get for myself. All components will be the same other than the roof of the tent.

Yes I am interested, pending the quality. If they can send you any pictures of the largest RTT they offer that would be great. Is it the same company that is making our awnings?

Just curious, what's wrong with the tent being offered in the other group buy? I think they were asking around $700 for tent and annex?

Unless it was a different group buy, I need one that is for 4-5 people and the one group buy I found only offered a smaller tent. I need one that measures 87" wide and 96" long. If you know of a group buy I am missing please let me know. I think it was the East Coast RTT group buy that I was looking at. I asked them if they offered any larger tents so I will keep you posted on what they say. Thanks

The biggest one I found (from a reputable company in China) was 76"x94.5". I can submit an RFQ for it if that size works for you?

I sent the RFQ over but I probably won't get a response until Sunday. Not sure if they'll be around tonight (tomorrow for them) to respond, but I'll let you know what they say.

What are the load specs for the crossbars with and without the tent opened?
What are the dimensions of the actual bars? Can they be modified so that they are more of a stock cross bar shape?

I believe the cross bars are adjustable to whatever position you want. Not sure about the load rating, especially with the tent open. I would think it would be in the 150lb range, but ill get some solid numbers when they get back from their holiday and update you.
