Hard start and stiff gas pedal

Hello all!

My passenger side front tire blew last night and havent been able to use my 4runner until after I got home from school today.

When I try to start the car I get a delay in ignition and the truck will start after 1 or 2 goes. The other problem is a stiff throttle. I was on the freeway when my tire went out and was doing a little driving to get to a safe spot (i had to roll the car about a half mile down the freeway because the lane I had was too close to the California traffic for my comforts). I need to leave to Colorado in a few days and might have to take another car if I cannot alleviate the problem before then. Perfect timing some would call it, anywho, any thoughts are much appreciated! Thank you for your time

a stiff throttle sounds like either you Throttle Body springs are bad or the cable itself is bad which is not uncommon.
as for the no start its hard to say what it could be without diagnostics try to do these first and report back.
test fuel pressure at the fuel rail
test spark at the plugs
test the timing.
test for check engine lights
these will help you determine and narrow down your issue.
i dont know of anything that would cause a no start just from a flat tire. but if i had to guess if it was a blow out you may have knocked a connector loose or just rattled it you may try disconnecting the battery for 3 min then re connecting and try to start it it may have just got knocked around by the blow out and tripped a sensor wrong.

Describe the "delay" in starting? It click? just turns over?

Also, are you trying to say these problems started after you got a flat tire? I dont see how they are related

Ditto Hyde. I think shaking loose a connection or something could be a possiblity i didnt have much light last night, I am going to check the side the tire blew on maybe a chunk of tire kicked up and knocked something loose. I dont think anything else would cause anther problem rather than driving on it and the tire popping up into the carriage

he didnt say a flat he said blow out.
if it was a blow out it would have sent chunks of tire all over. if it was just a flat then yes i would agree unless the thing that gave him the flat may have hit things in the engine bay too.
