Has anybody ADDED a rear sliding cargo tray?

Looking to sell my sliding deck and all the parts. Can negotiate if you're willing to swap padding/carpet/panel for non sliding cargo. Located in Nashville.

Yes, its not hard at all. I did it to my 2015. The threaded holes are already in the body, you just have to gently drill through the cover they put on them. took about 90 minutes to install, would've been less if I knew that little trick.

Does anyone have a trick to identifying the exact locations of the threaded bolts underneath the floor pan that are concealed in the non-cargo slider models? I removed my spare and had a look underneath today, but definitely didn't spot multiple obvious locations. Is the cover mentioned above what I should be looking for? I did remove the carpet, but again, nothing seemed obvious. :thanks:

Install the sliding cargo frame and attach the bolts closest to the rear seats (just snug these down). The holes in the rear frame should then be over where the covered bolt holes are. I then marked the center with a small permanent marker, used a punch to create a small indent, and then used a small drill bit to drill a pilot hole. You can then use larger bits to open the hole up. Just go slow and take your time.

Thanks, but my issue is that I do not have the cargo frame. I am making my own. I should've made that clear.

I have a question for those of you who installed the tray. Regarding the front cargo anchor brackets that bolt to the floor, do you remove and replace these with the ones for the tray or do you install the tray brackets over them?

If you happen to be looking to build your own plate or slide system but didn't have the factory sliding tray you'll have to drill some holes in the floor to access the nutserts that are covered from the factory. While using the brackets for the factory slide as a drill guide is fine for those installing a factory slide that they've picked up from someone selling, not all of us will be able to do this.
A solution is to crawl under your truck and find the two rear mount nutserts and scrape all the seam sealer off to expose the threads. Then, take the appropriate sized bolt (I forget the size) and grind a point onto the tip. Tighten this sharpened bolt up into the nutsert so that it dimples the floor in the cargo area, marking your hole center. I used a sharpie to mark it and then pounded the dimple in the floor flat again with a hammer so that I could get the drill to be able to start, after center punching.

I know this is an Old Post.... curious to how many nutserts are there? I would like to use the existing nutserts to mount a rear storage area i would like to build.

I'm located in central Iowa and would be willing to travel a little to get it.


Alternatively, if any of you who have built your own slide-out trays (not interested in drawers) would post up a build or some type of plans, that would be cool. I'm fairly handy and work on my own vehicles but my creativity leaves a bit to be desired!

I sniped one right out from under you from a forum member in Long Beach. Whew! I had also been looking for one for a long time. I'm here in Tennessee and there were none to be had locally. Mine came out of a '19 Pro and was shipped cross country. I and the seller were both shocked at shipping cost and even the materials required to pack it safely. I'm glad I finally got one but I paid a lot more than if you can find one local. I see the other forum member posted one in NY so plan on adding about $300 for shipping plus whatever it may cost to pack it well. The deck is a great option though. Good luck!
