Has anybody installed the xtreme Xenon Depot HID's.. what do you think?

I'm thinking about ordering these tomorrow morning and wondered if anybody has used these yet. I was told by Xenon Depot they are phasing out the more expensive ones with the slim phillips ballasts and these are all they'll be carrying. So I wondered if there is any reason that I shouldn't buy them from a reliability standpoint or if they don't work that well. Any info would appreciated.

I have them for my fog lights in the Accord, and they work great! I don't use them that often though, so I can't really comment on longevity. I've only used them a handful of times or so, as they don't get used as often as my headlights.

Anyways, that's a real bummer that XenonDepot is phasing out the Philips components.

The Philips stuff is made in Germany, whereforeas, the Xtreme kit is made in Asia. They are supposed to be really good quality also.

That being said, I have the more expensive Philips kit for my low beams. I have the Xtreme kit for my fog lights because they were a bit cheaper. I also figured that since I wasn't planning on using the fogs everyday, I could get away with the cheaper kit. But it's is pretty good quality from what I could tell during the install. And it's held up for the time I've had it.

Is the harness the same between the xtreme and phillips kit?

I was also wondering if the xtreme still has the relays that the phillips kit has?

It's been a while since I've done the install, so I'm not 100% sure but I think the harnesses are similar. They weren't exactly the same in my case since my fogs use a rebased H11 but the low beams are D2S. But the harness was pretty good quality for the Xtreme kit.

The power wire is the same, as the fuses are all the same.

The ballasts and the igniters are different. The Xtreme kit is smaller, and I think that the ballasts and igniters are separate just like the gen4 ballast and igniters for the Philips kit.

i have the them for the driving lights i have the 4300K kit and i love them there great install was very simple

Thanks!! I ended up getting my kit yesterday. I bought the xtreme 5000k kit since they were out of the 4300k kit at the time I ordered. I'll install them and I'm looking forward to the results.

COuld you give us an update on the 5000k install? Do you like them. I'm seriously considering ordering the 5000k vs the 4300k kit but I'm worried it will have less lighting coverage. I prefer function over bling.
