So about a year ago I got a Xenon Depot plug and play hid kit for my lows (4300 Phillips) and I love it! The light output is awesome and they seem really reliable. I really want to install another kit for the fogs but I havnt been able to find any good instructions/tutorials specific to installing the kits for the fogs. I figure its pretty much the same as installing them for the lows but here are my questions:
- I feel like there wont be space for 4 connectors to cleanly attach to the battery. Seems like I should just make em all fit on one side or attach the two fog connectors to the other side of there terminal? Is it even OK to run both sets through the battery (I don't know anything about electronics). This is what I'm working with....
- Where are you guys mounting your ballasts and relays (particularly on the drivers side)? There seems to be plenty of space on the passengers side but the battery takes up a lot of space on the drivers side. While they are advertised as waterproof I'm not really trying to test that claim so I would like to keep them as high as possible. Having said that, the only obvious spot to put them, that I could find, would be under the bumper somewhere.
- has anybody drilled into the metal around the engine bay to mount any of these components? I have the right relay mounted on the wall above the wheel. Its stuck on with some pretty bomber adhesive tape but I would prefer to screw it on. Also, is it alright to use the same grounding points for the fogs?
any other thoughts/tips or tricks would be really appreciated! Cheers
