Has Anyone done REMOVAL of JBL & direct wiring..

Like the title says..has anyone done removal of JBL amp & direct wired to speakers. I am trying to eliminate the sub...thanks.

do you have an aftermarket radio though? if you want to disable the sub, why not take the panel apart and unplug the speaker lead to it?

I did. Kinda a hassle, but totally worth it

Thanks for reply, I see 2 connectors, i believe one is for pwr and other (lots of wires) for speaker input and output within that connector. By splicing the later said one..and looping to the outputs of respective speakers it work i guess. Its gonna be a challenge to check every speaker thou.

When the connectors disconnected at the amp, NO speakers work..as all speakers go in and out of amp.

Yes. I installed an aftermarket radio, 5 channel amp under the passenger seat, component speakers in the front doors, and a new JL subwoofer in the stock enclosure. Bridged the front speakers from the amp - not running rear door speakers. Retained factory steering wheel controls. Installed a backup camera too. I ran new speaker wire to the front doors from the amplifier. Did not want to bother with the stock wiring (as someone said above, ALL speakers are getting their signal from the wiring at the JBL amplifier.)

It will require you to run wiring from the headunit, back to the stock amplifier location, for each speaker.

just unplug the one in the subwoofer itself, your going to need to take the sub out anyway.
