You might be a bit sensitive (or have never ever paid attention to DC) if you think the District of Criminals is a pro-gun jab, or a jab at all.

If the "In our state, we can conceal and carry (thank you, 2A)" is a jab you're really sensitive, since only IL and WI don't have some sort of shall or may issue legislation on the books.

Page 2 had someone go "I don't understand this, please explain" and all the ballyhoo started.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the nature of civil wars, but they usually end up splitting the military into two factions. Consider that one party in the US clearly wants to switch our government to a Socialist Democracy and the other clearly wants to retain the Federal Republic we started with, it isn't hard to imagine a split along those lines that would result in a major portion of the military joining the rebellion.

Once a state tries to secede by force, Congress would authorize the use of the military under the Posse Comitatus act and the President would order them in to restore order and enforce federal laws. Handguns and shotguns will only make you a target, and with all the registration laws, the Feds will know exactly where to go and who to ask for when they get there. Infrared displays will show them how many people are in the house, and if they are currently armed, and a single guided missile (not even a Tomahawk) will reduce the place to a pile of rubble without putting a single Fed at risk.

Or they could just starve the rebellion, since most farms are corporate owned, and wait for the cities to die off before rumbling in and declaring martial law. Or set off an EMP a mile overhead, instantly putting a city like... LA... into the 18th century.

Un-freakin'-believable! I see not much has changed in America over the past 150 years since civil war last broke out.

I think it reprehensible that people who call the same nation home are literally damned near ready to open fire because someone has a differing opinion. Several posts back there was an exchange about who shouldn't be permitted to have a firearm .. if the mindset is that there are only two kinds of people in the world, namely those that agree with you and idiots, then you, Officer Tackleberry, also constitute another cross-section of society that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near firearms.

So as the sharks keep circling in the tank, I'll just stay on the safe side of the glass, thank you. Threads like this are hard to ignore since it exposes the mindset of many forum members. It's like a train wreck, ugly to watch but you just can't not watch.

We've gone from a 4Runner ownership forum to the online version of "Guns and Ammo" and "Soldier of Fortune" magazine. This thread along with the one about how dirty to leave your 4Runner leaves me with only one comment:

Back on topic.

I keep my glock in the center console in a blackhawk holster that has a trigger lock that is opened with one finger. I also keep an IWB holster on me so that as soon as I get out the truck I can take it with me.

I dont currently have a permenant holster in the s2000 but I do carry it IWB tactical holster.

However, since your response also implies a mockery of Canadian military involvement in defending the free world, I guess the 111,127 Canadian soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with American forces since 1914, warrants absolutely no acknowledgment. Much obliged, eh! Not to worry .. our military dead, veterans and their families are accustomed to it.

I honestly don't understand how you thought mocking us with 'banjo music' (yes, we all know exactly what you meant) even comes close to instilling any bit of introspection or even begins restoring civility but having family in Canada and as a very frequent visitor there I more than understand this typical attitude. As I usually tell my Canadian friends, its not that we don't know anything about Canada......its just that we really don't care. :hello:

OK - this was fun and no hard feelings but back on topic. My truck gun is a Glock 27 which along with a extra mag fits perfectly in the tissue holder.
