I just bought a 2014 4runner with the 3rd row seats thinking it would be handy in the one time or less a year I may need to take more than 5 people.
I can hardly get in the seat (59 years old and 150 lbs.) and my head hits the roof sitting there. I am thinking with the seat removed I could make a new false floor and have a lot of storage under the new floor. If the seat can be unbolted easily I could always put it back in if needed. Then again I could keep the seat and make people I do not like sit back there to punish them.
