New favorite movie. The whole thing was ****ing awesome. Perfect blend of dialogue, humor, and Taratino action :gun6:

I really actually liked all the dialogue and the detail. That is the Tarantino way I guess. I thought the details mattered though
, like the barn scene or the story telling, it all seemed to come into play in the second half.

Who can forget the dialogue seen in kill bill 2 when she finally kills bill. A freaking hour of dialogue before it happens, lol.
I saw the 70mm roadshow. That aspect of it was pretty cool: No previews, pre-movie Overture and a ~15 minute intermission half-way through the movie.
Like some others I don't think the Panavision Super 70mm format was really necessary since 90% of the movie was filmed indoors. Why incur the expense of that ancient film format when so little of the movie takes place outdoors?
As for the movie itself, typical Tarantino. Pretty shocking amounts of violence once it got going. The dialogue could have been better. I keep hoping some day he comes out with something rivaling Pulp Fiction but it never happens...

For me the 70mm wasn't necessary, but it did make the experience more special. It really was the cherry on top for that old-school western feel. But that's just me

disagree, it was perfectly timed and directed, awesome dialogue and acting

I thought the dialogue and choice of words was fantastic and refreshing. I liked how it wasn't too bloody but had just enough awesome blood and guts to give you that tarantino factor. All the acting was great, but the chick in the film's acting was absolutely amazing, she couldn't have done a better job playing that role.

The lack of violence in the first half made the second seem even more violent. like in Kill Bill, you become desensitized to the gore because there is so much of it. In H8, when the Bob had his head blown off, seeing blood was almost startling
