Have You Ever Heard A Weird Buzzing Noise?

Anyone ever heard something that sounds like a bee stuck under the hood - at regular intervals there is a buzz/vibration coming from what seems like this area:


BTW this is when the vehicle is shut off completely. WTF?
I (obviously) have very little mechanical knowledge. Taking her in to get serviced tomorrow so I'll ask them, just wondering if anyone else has heard this and knows what it is.

you obviously have a '96, as that was the only year which did this
[MENTION=5345]habanero[/MENTION] fixed hers with a mustard tin because the original expansion chamber which Toyota had sold to remedy this is no longer available these days...

Just need some small airspace, the mustard tin amused me....



The fix cost under $2 for the bits used to attach the hoses to the tin. Could've used plastic but the metal ones were on clearance.

lol that works. a little semi-gloss black wrinkle paint and it would probably look factory!
