No, I have the KDSS system so no swaybar kit is needed. No bump stop kit either.

I will never need a swaybar kit. KDSS handles all the sway bar changes I would ever need including disconnecting them completely when off-road.

I got my wheels powder coated black and had the Toytec coil-overs installed up front. The rubbing is now completely gone and the ride is still excellent! Here is what she looks like now:

Yes they do, 4 wheel parts has them, but you can try other sources.

I added some AVEC lighting today. A 20" LED light bar for the grille and ditch lights.

How's this setup been working for ya? Any vibration on/off road or issues? Didn't cross my mind as a solid spot for a mount up there but I do like the location.

It worked great, no issues with vibration. I have since replaced this light as I've gotten a new bumper that has a bar in this location. If not for that, I'd still have this setup. I liked it a lot.

I worked with Toytec to figure out how to get my truck back up to a full 3" lift up front to get rid of the really mild rub that developed once I added all the weight up front. I went ahead and ordered their adjustable front coil over kit: Adjustable Front Coil Over Kit for Bilstein Shocks 2010+ I also ordered another Trail Edition wheel (with BFG KO2 285/70/17 tire) to act as my full size spare. I'll have the coil over installed at the end of next week and I'll update this thread with before and after pictures.

Can you list all the parts and the settings for your suspension? I have a 2014 TE with KDSS and installed the same front bumper and noticed a big drop in front suspension. I want to do a 3" lift that will handle the added weight of winch and same mods as you and not need new UCA. I was considering the OME 3" lift with medium springs.

It's all in this thread, but to make it easier:

FJ Cruiser/4Runner/GX460 Ultimate 3" lift package

Basically I bought 2 different kits, but ended up with the setup in the link above. As far as settings go, it's a coil-over so I started at the bottom and raised the spring perch until the truck sat level and didn't rub the tires anymore. Basically, it's a full 3" lift now, even with all the extra weight. Hope that helps.

You have such an awesome rig. I just got a 2016 TEP w/ KDSS last month and have added a 3" lift - noticed the rubbing with my 285/70s. Gotta fix that.

I like the Trail wheels way more than the TRD wheels and after debating whether to powdercoat or not - I think your build has convinced me to powdercoat! looking good mate!

I just bought the same T4R you have except a 2016. You've given me a lot of ideas here.
I was wondering if you have any details on the suspension lift you installed. Any regrets due to performance? I live in Colorado so I'm concerned that the added weight could cause some issues.

The only issue from all the added weight is the TERRIBLE gas mileage. I only use my 4Runner for fun, I don't commute with it or anything like that, so for me that isn't a real problem. If you do commute with it, I would suggest either not adding weight, lifting it, roof rack, light bars, etc. or get yourself a cheap commuter car.

There are a few things I would do differently:

I would have gone with the coil-overs up front and not the regular setup. I wasted a bit of money there, but not too big of a deal.

I would not have gotten the hidden winch mount (replaced it with a Southern Style bumper). Same thing as above, wasted a bit of money.

Other than those 2 things, I am really happy with my choices so far. I have also ordered an ARB snorkel and ShrockWorks rear bumper. I'm waiting for those to be delivered so I can install them. I will update this thread when I do.
