Havik's Built Thread

I used just the Baxter screw on adapter, took 30 seconds to install. Used a Napa Gold 1068 screw on filter.

One thing that has been debated with the remote setups is how much oil drains out of the filter when engine off allowing for more dry starts. I'm not sure if its an issue or not but figured I'd play it safe just using this adapter, still makes things quick and easy especially since the CBI skids have an access panel to the filter to change it

I installed my remote over a year ago, never had any problems. If you go with all the fear and paranoia on the Internet, you'll never drive your truck. I have this on a supercharged setup and haven't had a single issue. If I had listed to all the paranoia, I wouldn't have 35" tires, a supercharger, this relocation kit, and who knows how many other things. I'm glad I did this, oil changes are a breeze and it looks awesome.

I wanted to both share a picture of my new headlights and test to see if Imgur will allow me to share photos on this site.

Any issues or concerns with the supercharger yet? I've read mixed things about rattles, idling issues, noises, etc. I came from a supercharged vehicle and my new 4Runner TRD Pro is a dog, I miss that whine.

Any reason you stuck with a stock intake rather than the TRD intake?

I've had the supercharger for 2 years now and I have to honestly say I have had zero issues what-so-ever. Now, that comes with a caveat that I don't drive my 4Runner all that much. I think I've put on maybe 6 to 7 thousand miles since it was supercharged.

I don't have the stock intake actually, I put on an AFE Momentum GT intake which added 1 PSI of boost. The only downside being it doesn't work with the snorkel, so if I know I am going out to a trail with water crossings, I put the stock intake back on. It doesn't happen all that often in SoCal so it isn't a big deal.

I added the Advanced Fiberglass Concepts front fenders along with Trail Gear's 2" wheel spacers this week.
